Homemade Dew Shield

Intro.

Don't feel like spending a couple hundred dollars on a dew shield for your scope? If so, this article is for you. For under $20 you can create your own that will work just as well as a any high priced commercial shield.

Materials. (Assuming 10" scope)
  1. Cardboard tube (Ie. quick-tube, sono-tube)12" x 4' for pouring concrete. Substitute smaller tube for a smaller scope. Just make sure its slightly larger so it will fit over your scope.
  2. about 5 bux)
  3. Foam (sleeping bag pad. about 5 bux at walmart)
  4. Sticky back Velvet (few sheets 6 or so again at walmart for about 5 bux total)
  5. Glue, Scissors, Paint
