The Tube

Here is the tube. You can get it from home depot and other hardware stores. Its used for pouring concrete.

Cut a 15" long section for your dew shield. You can use a jig saw, a knife but scissors are probably best. If necessary cut notches to fit any accessories you have mounted on your scope. I have a counter weight system and a losmandy dovetail rail system. Only cut notches 3" deep. The shield will fit over the scope 3" leaving 12" to protrude. If you have a smaller or larger scope cut length so that the amount sticking off your scope is about the same as the diameter. Once you've done this give it a coat of lacquer to protect the paper. I used polyurethane.

After the finish dried i spray painted it with a primer and some blue paint which looks similar to the color of the scope.
