Saturn rises in the South during the very early morning hours this month. With the naked eye it resembles a very bright star. It is the second largest planet in our solar system. It is arguably the most beautiful planet to look at. Its rings can be seen even in a low powered scope. If you can either say up late enough for wake up earlier enough this will provide an amazing site.

M-31, the Andromeda Galaxy is our closest neighboring galaxy. This is a fantastic subject to look at. On a very clear night you can even see it with the naked eye. It is a spiral galaxy similar to our own. It rises early and you should have no trouble spotting it. You'll want to view this target using a scope with a lower focal length because of its size. When viewing with a scope you may even notice M31's two companion galaxies, M32 and M110.
